The "Agricultural Development Summit" was held in Istanbul between September 30 and October 2, 2021 in order to evaluate the support given by the municipalities to agriculture, to introduce them to the public and to determine the next road map.
In addition to 160 municipalities, more than 300 agricultural cooperatives attended the summit. Agricultural products of municipalities and cooperatives were also exhibited in the fair area. At the summit, the contributions of municipalities to agricultural production were discussed.
Hatay Metropolitan Municipality expressed the importance it gives to urban agriculture as well as its support for traditional agricultural techniques. The purpose of the SIEUGreen project and the work of the five showcase regions included in the project were explained to the participants.
