Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) supports the National Centre for Urban Agriculture (NCUA)

On Tuesday June 18th 2019 the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) in Ås, Norway announced that they have decided to support the recently established National Centre for Urban Agriculture (NCUA) with 0.5 million NOK for the coming year to support further development and coordination within the university and with external partners within research, education, dissemination and innovation within urban agriculture.

This will enable NCUA to engage a part time coordinator to facilitate this. One of the main goals of this centre is to support the establishment of a transdisciplinary Master in Urban Agriculture from August 2021, with the support of all five faculties engaged in this centre so far. These faculties are Lead: Faculty of Biosciences (BIOVIT), NMBU Business School (HH), Faculty of Society and Landscape (LANDSAM), Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources (MINA), Faculty of Science and Technology (REALTEK)
